Some friends of mine and I used to sit in Poor Richard's on Thames St. in Newport back in the mid '70s and play "Stuck in the Middle" and Dylan's "Idiot Wind" on the jukebox any time a tourist wandered into our "local" hangout. Dick Kelly, who owned the place, got the joke and wasn't happy about it, but I don't think any of the tourists ever caught on to the fact that we were calling them clowns, jokers, and idiots.
