planning

Other Half & I both have An Important Birthday™ coming up soon (too soon!)
To celebrate (or commiserate) we are planning a trip.

A Road Trip.

This will involve driving from Los Angeles to Savannah, with some very interesting stops on the way (not least for sleep, gas & food.)

Watch this space.

let me know your details; since you're coming through the southeast, perhaps we could meet up!

Sounds a wonderful idea! We're just starting to sort out the route and hope to book our flights this weekend. Will let you know ...

That sounds like a marvelous road trip! If you take the northern route, through San Francisco, ---Wyoming you can stop and see Mt Rushmore, Chicago, and Nyack too.

I will like seeing photos of your trip even if you do not get north.

what kind of car are you renting?

I drove around the states in a sort of circle once, and cross country to move to LA then back to NYC a few times-- had very little extra $$, it was still amazing!

Heh. We can't wait. Getting excited now we're starting to make plans.
Not sure about the car, yet. Himself is looking into that.

Wow! I would LOVE to do a trip like that. I did it with my family when I was 16, but we were doing it the speedy way and barely ever stopped!

Thank you!
It was taken in Cumbria, in the Lake District on a perfect day in early September last year.

Kimy & Steve - I'll post more about our plans & the route we hope to take next week (we have a couple of birthdays this weekend to keep us busy.) Kimy - thank you so much for the invite. Unfortunately Cleveland would be waaay too much of a diversion.
This time! :D
