thameside tuesday

This was taken by the Royal Festival Hall today. I like the fact that everything is monochrome apart from the woman's hair and the man's hand.

funny how much of urban life is monochromatic - was thinking that just last week while sitting on the nyc subway and saw how almost everyone was in shades of grey and black....

nice pic. The hand and hair really ring out. (very Rembrandt trick with colour (just got bk fm Holland) - huge amounts of dark and then he puts in a spot of colour and the viewer dynamic completely changes).

PS: your photographic subjects look properly dressed for the weather it seems we're all having.

What an amazing photo! The symmetry of the people snapped and the little touch of hair color are totally striking.
