theme thursday - ball

Lots of balls made of different materials

papier- mache ball on the christmas tree

glass balls by chihuly

steel balls by storm thorgerson, with body artist & model in the foreground

red plastic floats

And now for all of us who really do remember the sixties (well, a little of it anyway!) I bring you The Seekers and Red Rubber Ball (with a bizarre vid of the band skipping around in a winery)

Great shots, Betty! I was thinking about this song, too, but I ended up going a different route.

Chihuly's flowered ceiling at the Bellagio in Las Vegas is spectacular and my favorite. Nice to see you included his work in your post.

What fun to hear The Seekers doing "Red Rubber Ball", one of my favorite songs when I was 13. The original was done by The Circle. Do you remember that group?

I could sit for hours having my back painted! I's killing me as to where that winery is I know I've been there. It's outside Adelaide somewhere i think. Chateau Tanunda maybe.

California Girl is right -- "Red Rubber Ball" was a hit song for The Cyrkle back in the '60s. I think their version is better, I gotta say. And here's some fun trivia -- the song was co-written by Paul Simon!
