Epiphany - when tradition states we should take down the tree and every Christmas decoration.

The saying goes that you choose your friends, but you don't choose your family. Isn't it good when it works out that you can be related and be friends.

Last New Year we were at a houseparty in Aviemore in Scotland, celebrating our friends' 25th wedding anniversary. We were a little unsure of what to expect and wondered what their friends would be like. We needn't have worried. We ended up with more friends than we started with!

(Dunno how long I'm going to be able to keep this friends theme going ...)

So, Christmas is over, as is the Old Year.
I've rung in the New (sat at home watching crap tv, eating left over Chistmas pud and drinking a rather fabulous New Zealand pinot noir) and have decided to try blogging a bit more often.
